INSURANCE OPTIONS
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL COVERAGE
Benefits in a Card offers a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) wellness-preventive plan for the assisted living industry and nursing homes. Our MEC plan satisfies both the A Portion (also referred to as the “A Tax”) of the employer mandate and the individual mandate. It also satisfies the B Portion if your employee accepts your offer of coverage.
MINIMUM VALUE PLAN (HIGH DEDUCTIBLE)
Benefits in a Card also offers a Minimum Value Plan (MVP) High Deductible (hd) plan for assisted living clients. Our MVP (hd) is designed to satisfy the A and B-portions of the employer mandate (also known as the “A” and “B Tax”). Our MVP (hd) also satisfies the individual mandate. This plan is major medical insurance.
FIXED INDEMNITY PLANS
Benefits in a Card offers three different levels of fixed indemnity plans for assisted living and nursing home staff. Our Basic, Enhanced, and Premier fixed indemnity plans provide first-dollar coverage (with no deductibles or copayments) towards specified indemnity services.
ANCILLARY SERVICES
Benefits in a Card also allows assisted living clients to offer our six ancillary, non-indemnity services a la carte. Ancillary insurance services that you can choose from are: term life, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, short-term disability.
